Content & Brand Manager (Maternity cover)

Tasks

During this 13-month maternity cover (starting in December) you will work within our marketing team to oversee all off-platform content. Encompassing email marketing, sponsored content and brand partnerships, this role would suit someone who has experience in PR or brand/media partnerships as well as copywriting and content marketing.

With plenty of inspiring travel content to create, edit and commission for three source markets, you must be ideas-driven, organised and have a keen eye for detail.

You are creative when it comes to putting together strategies and as comfortable ensuring a joined-up approach with the marketing team as you are about presenting to stakeholders with ideas, proposals and reports.

As an in-house brand manager, it will also be your responsibility to ensure that all off-platform content reflects our brand values and tone of voice. You will be passionate about sharing content that engages and delights travellers, as well as promoting TravelLocal as purveyors of ethical and trustworthy travel.

Challenges & opportunities

  • Collaborate with the On-Platform Content & Brand Manager to plan content campaigns
  • Create/write or sign off all off-platform content including email newsletters, automated emails, branded/sponsored content, social media and press releases
  • Line manage two Marketing Executives and commission external creatives (such as copywriters/photographers)
  • Assist with the creation of content assets for print and TV advertising
  • Plan automated email nurture streams with our CRM Manager
  • Instigate and manage brand and media partnerships
  • Take responsibility for the TravelLocal brand as ‘brand guardian’ for tone of voice and imagery
  • Work closely with the analytics team to monitor social and email performance
  • Oversee resources and processes to produce multilingual content

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Content and/or Brand Manager
  • 1+ years managing line-reports
  • Excellent copywriting skills and working knowledge of SEO
  • Impeccable organisational skills and a flexible approach
  • Team player with the confidence to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using the Google suite (inc. Docs, Slides & Sheets)
  • English fluent or first language
  • The right to work in the UK or Germany

The nice to haves

  • Experience using design software for online assets
  • Experience using CRM / email marketing tools
  • Experience creating brand/media partnerships
  • German-language skills
  • Experience in the travel industry and a passion for seeing the world
  • Experience using Google Analytics
