Customer Service Internship


We are looking for a well organised and motivated intern to join our Customer Experience team until the end of March. Our Customer Experience team help our amazing local partners around the world to maximise sales and customer satisfaction. 

We need a natural communicator; good on the phone, email and in person, and great with people from all over the world. You are a persuasive, unflappable and energetic person, confident, driven, highly organised and with an instinct for sales and for ensuring customers have a great experience from start to finish. This is a varied role, with a degree of self-organisation to achieve broad company objectives.


Some key responsibilities

  • Managing requests for international flight quotes via email and phone.
  • Answering inbound phone calls and answering routine questions, or routing the caller through to the correct place.
  • Responding to and processing general emails.
  • Mystery shopping potential new local tour operator partners in order to determine their suitability for working with us.

  • Good foundational understanding of e-commerce and an opportunity to learn about platform technology and input ideas into its development.
  • Excellent grounding in the principles of customer service – why it’s so important, even in online businesses and how to do it well.
  • Working as part of a tightly organised team, achieving company objectives.


Whom you report to

You would report to the Customer Experience Manager.

  • Working in the travel industry.
  • Of travel to some of the countries that we offer.
  • Selling directly to customers.


Remuneration and benefits

This is a paid internship (minimum wage) until the end of March 2020. Hours are Monday-Friday full time. We have a flexible working hours policy, though timings may depend on when you are needed in the office. There is plenty of free tea/coffee, a fantastic office space with great views, and an ideal location in Central Bristol next to many exciting food and drink options. The building offers a downstairs cafe, free cake on Wednesdays, Happy Hour on Thursdays and a beer trolley on Fridays! 

We’re a very friendly, open and social team and love for everyone to get involved. This is an excellent opportunity to gain some experience working in a forward-thinking tech/travel company, have some fun and learn a lot about the future of the travel industry in the process.



We are based in Runway East, next to Bristol Bridge and near Castle Park. We are members of the Southwest’s most significant tech cluster, SetSquared. Runway East is 15 minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station, with easy access by bicycle (with designated sheltered bike parking) or on foot. Runway East has shower facilities and a café/bar area with very socially-minded building managers who often run events such as pub quizzes.
